1951 Ford Other Pickups Standard Cab Description

1951 Ford F-1 Pickup. This truck is the same year as the truck on the Sanford and Son Television Show. It is not the actual truck from the show! It is, however a true Barn Find. This truck has been sitting in storage for years. We dusted it off and with a little elbow grease and a battery and some gas, it started! Now the old flathead starts right up and runs and idles well. The truck drives and shifts through the gears and has brakes. It can be yard driven and will pull itself onto a trailer, but you will probably want to go through the brake system and replace the tires before putting her on the road. Truck has a clean, clear Ohio title. The truck is pretty solid for it's age, but it has rust and dents and dings and the paint is either shot or great patina, depending on how you look at it. Cab Floor is good. Seat is torn. A fabric cover or horse blanket would make it look nice. Gauges are good. All Glass is in the truck. I think every piece is cracked or broken! I posted good pictures showing their condition. Most of the Headliner is gone. Front Fenders have the typical rust for this model. Hood has some rust but is pretty solid. Bed Box and Rear Fenders are dinged up, but not too rusty. Tail Gate is good, not great. The Bumpers are good and the front Bumper has an angle iron Brush Guard welded to it. Bed Floor is a solid piece of steel. Running Boards are dented rough and rusty. Wheels, Tires and Hub Caps are old Ford style. The tires are old and dry rotted. They hold air, but aren't good enough to be on the road. The bottom line is that you can drive this truck around the farm the way it is. With a little work, you can probably drive it anywhere. The nice thing about this truck is that it is original and very complete. Almost everything is still with it. It's hard to find them in this condition. Usually someone has cut them up or modified them in some way.The truck is being listed with no reserve. No Reserve. It sells to the highest bidder no matter the price. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a couple hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I will try to answer any questions through email. I have more pictures.
