1968 Ford Thunderbird Resto-Mod Description

Nice 1968 Thunderbird, nearly completed resto-mod. Paint is in fair shape, some minor chips and thin spots, good 10 footer. Original Texas car, no rust at all showing on the body, floors, or trunk. Windshield and side glass is good, rear glass has some hazing, but no cracks. Interior is in great shape with new seat covers in front, rear seat looks near-new, door panels and dash are good, still needs new carpet. Note on the pics -- The rear window trim that shows missing in these pictures has now been installed.
429 Thunderjet with floor shift C6 automatic, runs and drives great, and sounds mean with cherry bomb mufflers and dual exhaust. Pro-billet HEI distributor with MSD Street-Fire ignition controller. New Mickey Thompson tires with American Racing steelies. 1968 Cobra-Jet hood scoop added for effect. Sequential tailights work..sometimes, front headlight doors have to be opened manually. Car is being sold as a project, and will need work on these and other mechanical items (door locks, heater fan, windshield wipers, etc.).
Clear Kansas antique title, this is a great project to finish as a resto, or easy change back to original. We do have the original hubcaps, and can put 15" white-walls with hubcaps back on if you'd like.
