Over $80,000 was invested in this Ford to make it the show stopper you see today. Steel 43 Ford’s are some of the most sought after cars in the world! This particular example has been painstakingly restored and upgraded to the handsome steed you see. Photos simply do not do justice to the fit, finish and fine detail of this finished 34 Ford. Just the cost to find a 34 all steel Ford Roadster for restoration will exceed well over $30,000!
Built by a professional restoration shop, this Deuce has an all-steel body. Its red paint, dual horns, radio antenna and other chrome trim are in excellent condition and shine in the light. The car’s glass pieces are in similar condition, as are the lights, even the optional cowl lights. Note that this car does not have windshield wipers. This car rolls on 195/60SR15 radials surrounding McLean Tru-Spoke wire wheels. Tires and wheels are in great shape. All of the car’s body panels are straight and solid, the engine bay is very tidy and the bumpers are in excellent order. The black, folding cloth top has a glass backlight and is in similar excellent shape as the rest of the car. At the rear, in place of a standard trunk is a two-person rumble seat that is power operated by a electric regulator, its a pretty cool final touch to this street rod!
Under the vee’d hood is not a Ford flathead V-8 or even a modern Ford motor; there’s a Buick 231 CID V-6 there, mated to a Turbo Hydramatic 350 three-speed automatic transmission. Underneath the car isn’t the simple Ford suspension Henry designed but front and rear independent suspensions from a Jaguar E-Type which is fully chromed and show quality. Driver assistance features include air conditioning, aftermarket cruise control, power windows, power front seats with lumbar adjustments and tilt steering column.
Inside, cabin lights greet you after opening either of the so-called “suicide doors.” There are two modern, two-tone gray bucket seats, with extended seat bottom cushions for your thighs. The seats are in fantastic condition, as is the matching gray carpeting and the instrument panel, complete with Classic Instruments gauges. Facing the driver is an aftermarket four-spoke steering wheel with a wood rim and gold spokes. It, too, is in like new condition. The door panels, mirror glass and shift lever are all in very good shape. There is no radio in this car but there is a Midland Citizens Band radio, holy 10-4!
This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 5,817 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, actual mileage title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
