The 1976 Ford Bronco featured a host of major upgrades headlined by standard factory front disc brakes. This year also introduced the popular Vacuum Assist Power Brake Booster option which was included on most Broncos directly from the factory in 1976. The steering system was also drastically changed in 1976 with the development of a 4 turn power steering box to replace the old 6 turn boxes. Corresponding with the new gear box, the Bronco also received a modification of it’s steering linkage from a T-style steering linkage setup to the new reverse Y-style steering linkage. All of the new upgrades offered for the 1976 Bronco were extremely popular and most Broncos came off the assembly line with most if not all of them. This makes 1976 Broncos a VERY popular option for collectors or drivers looking for a classic Bronco.
