Solid, rust free and all the original floors that it came with from the factory. A laser straight body that was media blasted to bare metal and coated in a beautifully finished bright red paint that shows like glass. Black trim and chrome all in the right places show like new, the 1971 Maverick small front and rear bumpers give it that early style grace and sportiness. The fully customized Billet aluminum front grill emblem and the rear full cap are incredible and far superior to original factory emblems. All we've talked about is the exterior first impressions and you're already loving the car like I did... Let's move deeper... So you haven't seen a Maverick in a long time...let alone, one this spectacular. Just stare for a few minutes at the beautiful lines on this early seventies hot rod. The body lines, metal work and paint finish on this car are outstanding in quality and finish workmanship. YES, you will be proud to take it to any show and YES, it'll probably turn many heads because this car is top shelf quality and rare to see. Finding a Maverick is hard enough but finding one that has been modified so nicely and with a lot of respect for the brand, that's even more rare. This Maverick probably started out life as "Grandma's Car" with her automatic and 200 6 cylinder base car but a few years ago, a loving builder had more modern plans for this gem. First completely dismantle the entire car, media blast the body and refinish it to a better than new finish and add some touches that would give it that "Grabber" look with the functional Ram Air hood scoop and rear spoiler...Detrim the body to simplify it to a more modern look, add the very tasteful 1971 chrome bumpersinstead of the hugh ramming bumpers of the 1974. Rolling on a set of polished American Racing Torque Thrust 16" wheels...just brings it all together for external appearances. We have always enjoyed so many of our classic cars...so many of them the kind of cars we see everyday, like Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, Chevelles, and the list goes on...but finding a Maverick with this much swagger and street cred? A perfect dash pad, an aluminum Grant leather wrapped steering wheel, a full length custom console that came from a 1980 TransAm that now looks like it was meant for this car. Perfect dash, headliner, like new everywhere you look. New weather seals, rubber, window felt and seals, this was not just a refurbished car but fully restored nut and bolts everywhere from top to bottom. As part of the under-treatment to restoring this car, the builder installed Dynamat type material on the floors, trunk and sidewalls giving it insulation and sound proofing far beyond factory standards of the day. So up close inspection of this car in and out, gives you a feeling that no expenses were spared to make this Maverick a true one of a kind show winner.
