1991 Ford Taurus SHO Sedan 4-Door Description

I have for auction my 1991 Ford Taurus SHO sedan. It has 64,040 original miles on it.
The previous owner of this car had owned six additional SHO's prior to this one, beginning back in '89. He thoroughly loved these cars. He had planned to do a number of upgrades performance-wise to this one, which he said was the best of the bunch that he had owned. But he retired and found that the time he would spend with the car would better be spent with family and other interests. This would be his "LastSHO". He sold it to me last year. I figured I would take if from there and do likewise. I still have all the goodies that he gave me with the car. I never made any changes to it. It is completely bone-stock, with the exception of the K&N breather element. I have driven it probably six times since I purchased it, and each time I get a pretty good thrill out of it. Problem is my hip cannot handle the clutch and shifting like I could when I was younger.......ever since I hit that "retired" age... I can have a bit of fun for a period or so and then the pain sets in and I'm done....no more shifting. I probably haven't put 200 miles on this car since last year. I wish I could but I don't want an early trip to the Dr.'s office for any surgery.... Now the car just sits more than it's driven....and I don't want this car to end up a "Barn find" ten to twenty years from now when I cannot even lift my leg to get in the car....
The car handles and drives just perfect. It's very quick thru the gears, with no rattles, or shakes, or shimmies of any kind...nothing. It's very tight thru-out. The driveline is solid with no weaknesses. Clutch and all gears are flawless. Brakes....stops on a dime with no pull or otherwise. I've had it up over 100 (in fact up to 90 in just 3rd gear) and it can take all you have to give it. It is a very well-built automobile. These SHO models are not your normal handling/driving Taurus cars. The 4-wheel disc brakes and 4-wheel independent suspension make for a very aggressive and solid handling ride indeed. Ford made an impressive car with this one. I wouldn't mind having a new one.....maybe an automatic....maybe with paddle shifters (are they on the new ones?) That would be a lot of fun. I still like to think I'm young... and up to the challenge.... now about my hip Doc......

KNOWN ISSUES:
The power antennae mast is broken. It still gets a signal and the radio works but you cannot extend the mast
There are cracks on the top of the dash from the Arizona sun. A new DashMat has been installed and it looks just fine.
The moonroof has been sealed with clear silicone. It was that way when I purchased the car. Had a leak in the seal somewhere I was informed. I've never messed with it.
The gas-fill access door has a broken cable. A new one is included with the sale in the "goodies" department.
The original steering wheelwrap is showing wear.
A few imperfections on the headliner, not falling down ...just cosmetic.
