1948 Ford Other Pickups Standard Description

1948 Ford F1 shortbed pickup. This is a great pickup to finish or do a little tinkering and drive as is. Recently had the brakes redone, new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, new lines, etc. The engine has new plugs, rotor, plug wires, points set, carb kit,distributor cap. The gas tank was removed and cleaned before reinstalling. Has a new 6 volt battery. I could not get the engine to start, I think it may have a stuck valve or piston ring. The engine does not seem to have enough compression. It turns over good, just won't fire. The individual I bought it from said he had it 16 years and only drove it twice but thought it would still run. The orig. blue paint is still under the primer he sprayed the cab with, itappears to be in good shape. I can't think of anything the truck is missing, itis quite complete. The seat is still in good condition and comfortable. The tailgate is just bunge corded to the bed, it needs the two hinge receptacles that mount to the bottom of the bed ends. I have had a fair number of thisvintage F1 body style and this one is a goodone to build. It has a good Arkansas title. It is located in northwest Arkansas.
