1992 Ford Mustang SAAC Description

This is a real deal, ultra rare SAAC (Shelby American Automobile Club) MKII #12. The 62 total SAAC Mustangs were built from '91-'93. This is the only white '92 MKII hatch. Stolen when NEW off the dealership lot in New York. It was recovered without its original wheels, interior, badges, and VIN#s. Original Vin#1facp42e4nf14887. It was purchased at an insurance auction and issued a New York rebuilt title and new vin# (NY54348) Ebay would not accept this vin#. It was mostly one family owned until 2015 when I purchased the car after discussions with the owner, as well as the SAAC Mustang registrar who knew the car and it's authenticity. The stamped buck tag with the original Vin# was untouched, as well as the Vin# stickers under the driver and passenger doors and under the rear bumper!
Upon my purchase #12 wore a GT wing, hood scoop, Cobra R wheels, and white leather seats. Never any body damage, and zero rust. Incredibly straight body and lines. It had accumulated just under 10k miles as of October 2015.
Amazingly, the original 300 horsepower engine with GT40 heads, intake (with SAAC plenum plate), headers, and even the '12' engraved oil cap all remained with the car. Also with the car were the stock Koni shocks and 'SAAC' stamped springs. Inside, the original 4-point roll bar, black carpet, and back dash and console were present.
I immediately began stripping the car down and began work to bring it back to SAAC glory. Here's a list of the restoration work:- New Oxford white paint- 3M blue metallic stripes- SAAC stitched seats- SAAC snake logo door panels- NOS SAAC emblems- NOS SAAC stamped ID badges- NOS Ford quarter windows- NOS Simmons 17" wheels- BF Goodrich tires- Brake rotors and pads- Header gaskets- BBK hi-flow catted H-pipe- Borla Mufflers- Ford Motorsport clutch- Kenwood CD player- Cold updates A/C- Dyno tuned (250+rwhp)
The car runs and drives new. Less than 1000 miles on the build. Runs and drives perfect. No trades please, thinning my car collection for a new house.
