1968 Ford F100 63 Miles Blue/Silver Pickup Truck 390 ci 3-Spd Auto
1968 Ford F-100 -- Description
Stk 1968 Ford F-100 Ford produced the fifth generation F-Series pickups from 1966 to 1972. Built on the same platform as the previous model this truck featured sharper styling a larger cab and better visibility. Our fully restored (2015) 1968 F-100 Ranger looks fairly stock but has experienced significant performance upgrades. Under the hood a strong running FE-Series 390ci engine was completely rebuilt before installation. Quite a bit of effort was expended to make this 390 perform. Upgrades include: Weiand intake Holley carburetor healthy street cam and tube headers to a free-flow exhaust. Add the dress-up package and this engine looks and sounds like it should power a big-block Cobra. The undercarriage has also been nicely detailed and behind the big FE is a 3-speed C-6 automatic transmission w/shift kit. A Ford 9" differential w/3.50:1 gearing spins Cooper GT Radials mounted on period-correct 15" Pacer alloys. The solid body was refinished in Dark Royal Blue/Silver and the bed was restored with classic finished oak flooring. Inside the cab seating was reupholstered in pleated blue cloth and a custom dash holds a full compliment of gauges. Our Ranger is equipped with A/C AM/FM/CD stereo power steering and manual (dual-master) disc/drum brakes. This F-100 Ranger certainly has visual impact and it runs even better than it looks.
