1975 Ford F250 4x4 Highboy
1975 Ford F-250 Description
This is a very clean 1975 Ford F250 4x4 360 Factory Highboy with 123,000 miles, that has lived on the west coast it's entire life until I purchased it. I purchased it in November of 2016 after it being in the same family since 1977 when they purchased it to pull an Airstream trailer. When they purchased the truck in 1977 is when some upgrades were done to the truck, such as the seat being converted to cloth, the motor being rebuilt for more torque, a new paint job, an auxiliary travel fuel tank, and the air conditioning system installed. These upgrades were done to make it more comfortable for the long road trips they took this truck on. The cloth on the seat that replaced original vinyl, is factory ford material that was I was told was originally for a Ford Econoline of that time. The motor upgrades that have less than 300 miles on include a Edelbrock 14063 Performer 600cfm Carburetor, Edelbrock valve covers, Edelbrock intake with filter, new spark plug wires, new ignition coil, new radiator, new radiator hoses, new distributor, timing gear cover resealed, new ignition control module, and new heater core with heater hoses, new LMC truck radiator overflow, new LMC truck windshield washer fluid tank. There is older motor upgrades also such as a double roller steel timing gear and Edlebrock Street intake manifold. The original carpet was replaced last month due to the heater core leaking on it and staining it. When I purchased the truck had the original radio that wasn't working, so I had the head unit, wiring, and speakers replaced. It is extremely clean since it has spent all of it's life in California, the truck would be 100% rust free if the passenger window seal didn't get deteriorated from the sun causing water to get in the door and cause the small amount of rust that is pictured. The floor pans are in exceptionally good shape with not one sign of surface rust. I have also pictured the undercarriage that shows off how clean the truck is, the original spare tire is still mounted underneath it. Along with the spare tire, it has the factory jack, jack handle, and lug wrench. There are very little dents and scratches on the outside, the major ones include the dent on the driver side fender that is pictured, scrapes on the rear of the passenger bedside that are pictured, and a dent at the rear of the passenger side mirror mount. With the exceptions of those the body panels are extremely straight an scratch free for a 42 year old truck that hasn't been restored. The only part of the truck that has been recently painted was the hood in February. The A/C is all there but is currently inoperable because of replaced hose that needs to be tied into the existing hose coming through the fire wall. It runs and drives extremely well doing any speed! Everything works great other than the A/C. The truck does include the factory bed shell that has always been on the truck, I removed it due to it needing repainted. If you have any questions please call me at 785-260-3554 I will accept offers outside of the auction and I will end the auction early if a deal is made. The truck has been and currently is stored in a climate controlled building located in Topeka, KS
