This very nice example is a fairly freshly restored car that has seen limited use so still presents quite well. With minimal effort and detailing this car could be quite show worthy. The desirable color combination, rear mounted spare, and wire wheels give this car the look that makes the V8 Ford so special. The correct 85 horse power Flathead V8 and three speed transmission makes this automobile a pleasure to drive. The Leather interior is in excellent condition, and all the correct rugs and trim pieces are present. The top and side curtains are as new.. The correct tan top complements the car nicely. The parade top boot is included.
The paint shows very well with no flaws noted. The underside of the car is correct and while not cleaned for these shots would clean up quite nicely. Optional equipment includes Radio, Heater and and deluxe running board trim. The Chrome is in excelllent condition with only minor pitting noted on the windshield frame.
The car is ready for long distance touring. Converted to 12 volt electrics, the car runs and drives very well and is just the thing for your next AACA or Ford V8 Club event. The V8 Ford Roadster is one of the most desirible Pre War cars- really one of the best cars ever made- no collection is complete without a V8 Ford, the Roadster being the most desirable and sporting body.

Visually, the 1935 Ford was much more modern with the grille pushed forward and made more prominent by de-emphasized and more-integrated fenders. A major advance was a true integrated trunk on "trunkback" sedans, though the traditional "flatback" was also offered. Outdated body styles like the Victoria were also deleted for the year. Two trim lines were offered, standard and DeLuxe, across a number of body styles including a base roadster, five-window coupe, three-window coupe, Tudor and Fordorsedans in flatback or trunkback versions, a convertible sedan, a woody station wagon, and new Model 51 truck. Chevrolet regained the sales lead at the end of 1936, but the Ford still sold extremely well. A new club cabriolet model was introduced with a fully-framed windshield and weatherproof top, and the convertible sedan gained the popular integrated trunkback design.
The look was updated with an inverted pentagonal grille with all-vertical bars beneath a prominent hood and three horizontal chrome side strips (on DeLuxe models). A concealed horn, long a prominent part of the Ford's design, also brought the car into modern times. Other major changes for 1936 were the use of pressed steel "artillery" solid wheels instead of wire wheels. Our Ebay Policies:
Significant Cars is one of the largest Collector Car Brokers and Dealers in the Country. Since 2003 we have worked hard to "change the way collector cars find new homes" by providing unparralleled web presentation of the cars we are representing. Most of our cars have over 30 photographs, and these can be viewed by visiting our website (our eBay handle dot com), or by clicking on any of the photographs in the black background area of our EBay listings. We welcome your call with any questions about any of our listings at anytime at 800-837-9902 and certainly encourage your personal inspection of any of the cars we are selling-just call us and we will be happy to set up an appointment for your to see and test drive the car.
We realize that eBay is a difficult venue to properly evaluate an item as complex as an automobile.
