The body on this little beauty is a solid and beautiful and reflects its' life long stay in the sunny and dry southwest climate. There is no evidence of any panel repairs or replacements and no attempt to cover anything up and no evidence of any accident history. The underside is original and untouched so what you see is what you've got! The door, hood and rear deck gaps are straight and even and factory original. It is absolutely 100% as rock solid and rust free as you would expect a California and Arizona car to be! It is finished in Poppy Red and was then hand rubbed to a smooth as glass finish! The finish is a very sharp and appealing, and will be perfect for car shows or just to drive and enjoy! The chrome and trim is exceptionally sharp with no pitting and virtually no dings or dents. The windshield as well as most of the rubber seals on the car are also fresh and new. The car features the side vent chrome as well as a Mustang GT rear valance with the straight through trumpet exhaust.
The interior is very sharp and has been redone in its original Pony Pattern. The vinyl is in very nice shape. The deluxe door panels are in good shape as well as the arm rests. The carpeting is nice and the dash gauges are clean and bright. All the gauges work as they should and the radio plays fine. The Factory AC is missing the compressor and condensor and will need a bit of work to get opperational. Even the steering wheel is crack free and in great shape. The car also still has the repop Mustang floor mats.
Mechanically, this little Mustang is in great shape and it runs and drives almost like a new car! It is apparent that it has never been used and abused or molested in any way and was always well maintained! The engine runs strong and smooth and the transmission shifts as it should. The motor does have a cam installed along with that upgraded intake manifold and edlebrock carb. The motor compartment is clean a correct and in show quality condition. Everything under the engine compartment is to factory specs and all correct decals are present. This is one of the nicest running and driving mustangs we have seen in a long time. Although this was born a factory A/C car, it is currently need of a few more parts to be functioning. Due to the upgraded radiator and electric cooling fan, the condenser and evaporator were removed as well as the compressor. The lines and under dash unit are still in place but the system will need sorting before it can be operational. A vintage AC kit may be the cheaper way to go long run.
