This 1964 Ranchero has all the factory Deluxe features plus more.
This handsome black car-truck has been fully restored and maintained by me (the current owner) for the last 6 years.
Today Rancheros are much less common than the Mustang and far more practical.
The solid, straight body was refinished with Ford Black two-stage (with clear-coat)
The body work alone took two years… although the car was straight and rust free when taken to the body shop. A true perfectionist’s classic car professional paint job that has been cared for.
Every seam, hinge and joint clearance on the car is perfect. Far exceeds what the factory churned out back in 64’.
All of the chrome has been triple chrome plated and aluminum parts (like grill) straightened and re-anodized and polished.
Classic 15" polished 5 spoke American Torque Thrust II wheels. New Michelin HydoEdge tires (less than 1000 miles).
All rubber weather-stripping has been replaced.
The interior is fully restored with seats and door panels refinished in black and blue and factory silver piping. Best quality foam and fabrics were used. Sound deadening on interior roof and under carpeting.
All of the dashboard bezels have been replaced the gauges have been upgraded to Auto Meter white faced including speedometer, oil pressure, water temp. tach, fuel. The radio is a Custom Autosound (no dash cutting) AM/FM with MP3 player adapter. Great sound with Custom Autosound kick panel speakers and dash center speakers.
New blue tinted windshield with banner and new carpeting and headliner, rear tinted window, complete the interior.
Space saver spare with factory jack assembly complete.
Complete Ron Francis wiring throughout.
The replacement 302ci engine was totally rebuilt in 2014. It was balanced and blueprinted, with aluminum 180 degree medium high rise manifold and Holley/Ford carb’ with electric choke. Mild RV cam a Flowmaster exhaust setup with stainless exhaust tips and a HD rebuilt C4 trans’.
Heavy duty radiator, 7 blade flex fan with shroud.
Petronix electronic ignition with high output coil and custom 8mm wiring.
Has Vintage Air Conditioning that blows cold.
Power steering and brakes.
Braking that has been upgraded to power disc and large drum in the rear.
All new front suspension with 1-1/8” sway bar, upper and lower control arms, tie rods, ball joints, etc.
Custom driveshaft with new U-joints and fully balanced.
The taillights are Deluxe with the crosshairs design and custom lighted blue dots.
The tailgate has the rare spring package only station wagon tailgates offered.
Rare one piece Ranchero export brace shock tower to cowl.
KYB gas shocks on all four corners.
Rear end is a 3:00 gear with new Kodiak locker unit “posi” and nodular 8” case all new bearings and seals.
Truly a car that can be relied on to go from California to New York without concern.
