1965 Ford Mustang Description

LIVE THE AMERICAN DREAM
The 1965 Ford Mustang is an American classic - in the same rare air as apple pie or baseball. A RED Ford Mustang CONVERTIBLE is one of the most quintessentially FUN cars of all time! Everyone should have the chance to grab a milkshake at the Shake Pit, rev the '65 Mustang's V8 engine, and take a trip back in time!
FUN FACTThere were three body types produced in the 1st gen Mustang era: Coupe, Convertible and Fastback. You probably know that the most common 1st gen Mustang body type was the Coupe. But did you know that in 1965 there were actually MORE Fastbacks produced than Convertibles?!? The Convertibles were (and are!) the RAREST of the three Mustang body types back in 1965!

MEET SALLY
Sally is a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible dressed in her original Rangoon Red color and finished with black "Pony interior" details. She has a 3-speed automatic transmission, front disc brakes, and a power convertible top -- so she's a pleasure to drive! She also comfortably seats four adults with room in the trunk for some luggage.
Sally is what she is, and she does NOT apologize for it one bit! She started her life as an inline six, butis now powered by a 5.0L 302 V8 engine from a later model Mustang. As such Sallyis considered a "light restomod driver" that delivers miles of pure unadulterated FUN!She also has a light cam -- which means that you WILL hear the Mustang's unmistakable rumble. Aesthetically, her chrome details are in great condition and her American Racing wheels add visual "pop" to an already stunning car! If you are looking for a numbers matching, collector car...well, I respectfully suggest that you keep looking. Butif you are looking for a classic driving experience that will take you back to yesteryear, Sally will NOT disappoint!

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?Any experienced classic car owner will tell you that EVERY classic car that is 50+ years old has its quirks, so there are a few things that we should point out. We think they are minor, but we will let you be the judge:
  • Minor paint imperfections; the paint is very good driver quality (better than my 2011 4Runner!)
  • There is a small, below the paint rust spot about the size of a quarter on the lower passenger side door. The estimated cost to repair is <$200
  • The fuel gauge is a bit off, reading 3/4 full when the tank is full
  • The turn signals require manual turnoff after turning a corner
  • As with most classic cars, there is a small, very manageable oil leak
SEEING IS BELIEVINGSally delivers an incredible bang for your buck in terms of pure FUN per dollar spent! You'll be hard pressed to find a better quality, more affordable classic that delivers more "thumbs up" as you drive around town. We have seen countless, lesser '65 Mustangs sell on eBay for north of Sally's price of $24,900. One thing is for certain: Sally delivers instant celebrity! We recommend that you come and see her, take her for a drive, then take her home with you! Call (813) 244-0774 to schedule a visit.
