1968 Ford Galaxie Base Description

True Barn Find! This is one of the last ones on the market like this. I have been looking for a long time for a car like this. I want a 1971 Cuda, this is a Galaxie 500 so the search continues. I need this sold to build my dream car. I'm selling a 442 as well but that baby is mint and I want top dollar. This one is ready for paint but you can and should make it your own with power adders and other awesome things that will make this a beast.
I bought this car from a man that sold me a historic house that needed repair. Much like the house, this car was all original and has the highest potential. It drives all day long and it fires up like a new car. It has been sitting since 1988 in the same spot, however, the former owner had kept it in running condition. He has over 20 cars and all of them are like this. They run, they are original, they need tons of polish and new rubber, tuning, and so forth but they are running and driving cars.
You can buy new tires, replace worn suspension parts, rebuild the breaks, replace the fuel lines, repair the dashboard and reinstall all the stuff he took off for cleaning and repair and you will have a daily driver. If I do that same thing, I will have to pay my local shop $2,000 but I would have ice cold AC, and a bad butt car that I would sell for $12,000. Instead I'm happy to get $8,000 as it sits. It will drive right now, and I have driven it over 50 miles since I bought it in July of 2017 and it is good to go, not safely, but it will go.
Take it as is and we are in business. I will even throw in new tires and fix the breaks if I get $8,500 cash or $10,000 seller financing. I own it outright and I will take $3,500 cash and finance the rest at 8% for 2 years if you are local.
