1979 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT Description

This is a 1979 Ford F-150. I purchased the truck new in '79 and have owned it since. Some details;
  • The Frame, cab, hood, wiring harness, front and rear ends are original; everything else is a replacement-fenders, glass, doors, box, engine, transmission, transfer case, drivelines, paint, etc. I have done my best to keep the truck in Originalshape; but, it is not a collector's vehicle.
  • No air conditioning--the truck came without it as it is a Montana Truck.
  • Vehicle painted with IMRON paint, inside and out, in 2004--still looking good/great.
  • No cracks in either the dash pad or the steering wheel--zero, none, nada.
  • The truck seat and headliner are blue (the truck was originally blue but now silver and black), both in really nice condition.
  • Truck box is from a long box; cut down and fits perfectly (cannot get short box panels)
  • Tires (6) are BF Goodrich All Terrain--+90% tread remains; there are two mounted spares.
  • Dual exhaust is new.
  • Engine (351M) replaced long ago but still runs well and gets about 15 MPG--as can be expected there are a few drips here and there.
  • Speedometer and odometer are not working and have not for a long time--the Odometer reads 56K--I believe it is north of 250K miles--I tried to wear it out but cannot.
  • Both bumpers are original but newly refinished chrome and they did a great job.
  • Unfortunately, the warranty has expired--this truck goes where-is, as-is.
  • Some spare parts, moulding, mirror, lights, etc.
  • The truck has its quirks, but it is a daily driver that has never left me stranded.
  • Truck to be delivered in person in SLC UT--once the price is set, it is set--but purchaser has the right to refuse the purchase (not renegotiate) on delivery. I want to be sure you drive away satisfied.
Basically, this is a reasonably reliable, very durable truck, and it has several years of service left in it.
