1965 Ford F100 Patina Lover's Classic Hot Rod Truck
1965 Ford F-100 Description
Up for sale is my beloved 1965 Ford F100 Patina Lover's 302 V8 Automatic Custom 1 of 1 Handbuilt American Restored Truck
Background:
This F100 spent it's life in South Carolina at a Phillips 66 in Red Hill a small town on the North Carolina border about 30 miles from the coast. It was kept sheltered so the body and frame are in excellent shape compared to the old northern "rust belt" trucks that spent their life seeing salt, snow and abuse. I had it shipped in 2014 when I purchased it, and it has been garage kept ever since. Nowadays I barely drive the truck 1000 miles a year. In the summer of 2016 I did however pack it up, and drove from Massachusetts to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina about a 950 mile trip which was a memory maker I'll never forget that took 2 days to get there. The truck performed flawless as I drove it daily in the Southern heat all summer, the alternator and serpentine belt were the only things I had to replace the 3 months I lived there. Come the fall, I drove it back North 950 miles. Nowadays I take it out on the weekends, cool nights and the once a month car show. I'd like for someone else to use it, build it further, or just have it in their collection and appreciate it as much as I do. Odometer reads 14,933, assuming it is rolled over but unknown and not claiming if that is the actual original miles. Truck is pretty much turn key and go, clean title in my name and I have owned it for 3 years
Specifics:
Driveline is a 302 V8 with a 3 speed automatic and ford 9" rear end. Electronic ignition, updated alternator, holley 2bbl, true dual exhaust, Ford Racing 9mm wires, copper Autolite plugs. Original drums all around. Staggered BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on Aluminum American Racing Wheels. Sliding rear window w/original rear glass included in sale
Turn key, hop in and go. I would give the truck an 8 out of 10 if scoring it in a regular US Car Show with a 10 on originality you will not see another like this and regularly gets thumbs up for its uniqueness, women call it "cute" men say it's "cool" that's the general trend lately. Mechanically everything works as it should, no major or catastrophic issues. Engine has plenty of power, all the gears work, reverse works, all the brakes work, tires and wheels have less than 4k miles on them.
