1937 Ford Cabriolet
Rumble Seat
This car was originally built for export, it was shipped from the factory to Argentina where it was purchased new by a wealthy family. It remained with the same family for 50 years before being sold to a Miami business man back in 1987. He had it shipped back to the states where he kept it as an original car and drove it every day.
The original motor and trans was removed. I bought the car and gutted it. The car was very solid for its age. The car was disassembled, the factory frame was sandblasted, professionally reinforced, fitted for a new Mustang front end and painted. The rear suspension was fitted for a new multi leaf spring setup.
The motor is new from top to bottom, 350 Chevy, 4-bolt main, approx 350hp. The transmission is a new 700R. The rear end is a new Nova 10 bolt with all new Eaton posi and a 3:42 gear.
The car is all Real Factory Steel, except the front fenders, those are new fiberglass. I have the original front fenders. I installed a new firewall and complete floor pans. The door glass has been removed, the door tops were rolled like roadster doors. Very nice look and fit. The roof rack has been sandblasted and powder coated and reassembled with all stainless fasteners. New running boards from Drake. Coker wheels and tires, you know, big money!
The dash is all new, all new gauges, complete wiring kit from front to back has been installed. The car also has a new Vintage air system installed. The car is setup with Sirius XM satellite radio system, MP3, Bluetooth, etc. All new steering column with shifter and LED indicator. The front seat is correct for the car. Countless hours and plenty of money has been spent. This is a very nice and rare street rod. I have a ton of pictures that go with the car.
The car runs and drives like new Cadillac. All new brake and fuel lines. A new gas tank was installed. The exhaust system is 2.5in stainless with 40 series Flowmaster mufflers.
The car is new. I'm not interested in trades, please don't ask.
I have a clear Florida title for the car. I welcome your questions, its best to reach me by phone, 407-948-00SIXFOUR. Please.... no calls after 9pm EST.
