1977 Ford Mustang cobra ii Description
Been really hard decision to sell. I have owned the car sine 1994 been rebuilt a few times. I added a picture of the car before blasting. So now as I get older I would love to pass it on to someone who has the time and money to finish.
It has a 88 5.0 roller motor a E303 cam and flat top pistons bored 30 over. The heads are from a 70 mustang cant remember the head code but they had the smaller chambers and bigger valves. They been ported exhaust chamber has been opened and matched also heavy lift valve springs and roller tip rockers. The motor is fresh totally rebuilt and hasn't even seen the road yet. As you can see in the pictures the engine still needs finishing touch ups.
I installed a T5 5 speed. I fabricated the clutch and the cross-member to work correctly but bought aQuick Timebell housing that puts everything into the correct location for reliability also the transmission cross member that was fabricated by a machine shop that still need to be installed.
I have a 5 lug conversion for the front and a 5 lug rear end out of a 60s mustang. The perches will have to be moved and welded to fit the springs. The front springs been replaced as well a few years ago.
So in the last year the car has been blasted to bare metal so their is no bondo left and all the rust has been exposed then been primer sealed. I have a a parts car to go with it and also extra parts from another car including extra sets of doors fenders hood floor boards. I have bins and bins of extra parts from the past 24 years including extra set of headers bell housings and misc parts. Also a mustang ii c4 automatic trans.
I have over 10k into the car. Might not look all that great now but all it needs to be is finishing the body work and and front seats carpet etc, The rest is just reassembling.
