I got this car as part of a trade deal and did not plan to keep.....so here she is.
She was built in Dearborn on April 24, 1973 ....44 and still fine.
ODO shows just under 25K miles....I may add a few more, but should come in under 25K at the sale.
Pretty good options list:
-351C / Q code
-NASA hood
-TuTone Hood Paint
-F70X14 Belted tires (Obviously no longer has original tires)
-Convenience Group
-Rear Deck Spoiler
-Power Steering
-Power Front Disc Brakes
-Console
-AC SelectAire
-AM Radio (Has modern stereo, but old unit is included)
-Mach 1 Interior
-Tinted Glass
-Forged Aluminum Wheels
-Rear Bumper Guards
The 351C runs fine, but the carb needs to be rebuilt. It runs and drives fine, but the accelerator pump does not inject. I have the kit and will rebuild it before the sale if there is time.
Only 2bbl carb cars in 1973 had functioning ram air. The 4bbl cars did not have the underhood parts, but they can be installed. SMOG regulations were the reason. The hoods are the same.
Ford did not sell rear louvers as seen on so many of these cars. I have an aluminum set that will be included if you want - missing one bracket.
Car came to me with nonstock pipes. Manifolds are factory, but pipes and mufflers are not. It has a nice sound to it w/o being really loud.
C6 shifts great
I've done nothing beyond a good cleaning and waxing then storing under cover. Could use a little more cleaning as I'm picky. AC works, but needs some R12.
Tires are still soft and have good tread - no immediate replacement needed.
Clock does not seem to work. I've not looked at it yet. Not many clocks still run anyway, but usually an easy fix.
Looks like an older repaint. Still good, but with wear...chips and scratches here and there.
Good glass
Stereo works - 4 speakers - antenna is about half original length.
I have clear title on hand.
