1970 Ford Mustang sportsroof Description

1970 Mustang Fastback - 4 speed manual transmission, manual steering, manual front disc brakes and rear drums, 302 with aluminum heads and headers. I believe original engine block, was built in 2010. Nice Driver. Solid car that can be driven and used today. Sold new in California, has been in WA for at least 15 years. One repaint over the original Lime metallic paint, color now a darker period correct green. Car is not a Mach , it's a low-option "sportsroof" with added stripes and spoilers. Factory drivetrain was a 302 with a 3 speed manual, now has a 1972 Ford 4 speed toploader with Hurst shifter. 9 inch rear with 3.25 open gears. Newer springs.
New 2.5 inch exhaust with SpinTech X pipe and Spintech mufflers, Borla Tips. Near new tires - 225/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear. Also within the last 6 months - Hi Torque mini starter - factory correct reproduction mirrors - exterior and interior door handles - gages - gage printed circuit board and voltage regulator - Street Demon 625 cfm carburetor - alternator - turn signal switch - ignition switch - headlight switch - license lamp and backup switch - seat belts - etc.
Previous owner put seat covers and carpet in it. This is a solid car but not without flaws. I have tried to show them in the pictures. I call it a 20/20 car. At 20 miles an hour and 20 feet away, it looks and sounds great. Up close you see some flaws, paint chips, and a couple of very small dings. It has a rust hole behind the passenger rear tire, and a few paint/ rust bubbles on the drivers side. It will NOT need quarter panels. No rust around any glass or trim. My thought is 90%+ original sheetmetal. Small underfoot sections of the front floor have been patched [ where wet feet would be] . The trans hum, firewall, and rest of floors are original and strong. Suspension points and subframes solid. It is garaged. Paint is shiny. Shock towers strong. Gets compliments often.
The car starts easily, idles, drives, accelerates, shifts, turns, brakes, and stops well. Gages, all exterior lights, wiper, and heater blower all work. Speedo cable and horn do not. I have a nice console for it [ just prefer none ], a Holley 750 DP, a black Grant steering wheel, stripe kit, and some original parts to this car, that go with the sale. All-in-all, a nic, fast, manual transmission driver that a person can drive around without being paranoid about getting a rock chip or bird shit on it. Drive it now + enjoy, while you add, "fix up, or change the features you want -- instead of buying some other rusty-non driving-big project- incomplete vehicle....
$ 500 dollar Non-Refundable deposit due upon buying the car. Shipping / Drive home is the responsibiltity of buyer, although I will help your shipper load the car, or pick you up at Seattle-Tacoma Int'l airport if you decide to fly in. Vehicle is sold As-I, where is. No warranties whatsoever. Cash or Bank drawn Cashiers check for the balance. Car can leave when payment has cleared.
