ORIGINAL 1963 FORD GALAXIE 500 TOWN CAR.. EXCEPTIONAL!!!
1963 Ford Galaxie Crown Description
Up for your consideration is my 63 Ford Galaxie. Simply put this one of, or the nicest survivor you will ever see. I am the second owner. The 1st owner was a family out of Portland Michigan. Yep it was a Michigan car its entire life! No it was not a barn find. It was garage kept its entire life. Put away every fall and brought back out in the spring. No rust through anywhere! Also there is very little undercoating. Some surface rust underneath. The paint, interior, chrome, stainless and aluminum trim are original. All are near mint! The side aluminum trim is usually beat up some. Not this trim. This 63 was dearly cared for.! The paint shows extremely well. Their are some small touch ups. A couple of small dings. You have to get very close to see them. The sides are very straight. As you know it's hard to hide flaws on black paint. All of the glass is original. The windshield has a small chip. The doors shut very nice. The interior is also near flawless. The cloth vinyl seats are hardly warn. The front carpet has a discolored spot where the drivers heel would be. It is also somewhat faded. The rear carpet is very nice. The steering wheel and horn ring are mint. The steel dash is flawless. The door panels are very nice. I have also included photos of under the dash. No loose wires hanging down. Everything in order. The original 289 is connected to the original cruise-o-matic transmission. This Crown drives very nice! No pull or swaying down the road. I would assume the front end had been worked on sometime in its life. Very tight. The brakes work as they should. Not power brakes. The 289 runs very well. Has great power for a 289 2 barrel. This car will drive across county very well. It has new Cooper white wall tires. The window fuzzy seals are excellent . The weather seals are soft and in excellent shape. There was some damage on the trunk seal. It is still water proof. The deluxe wheel covers are also very nice! I have the original window sticker, original invoice and original owners manual. I have a oil change sticker from 1981 with 36,266 miles. Work done by Tom Keusch Service in Portland Mi. Everything works except the clock and the left hand turn signal indicator. All in all this is a exceptionally nice Galaxie!!
