THE ORIGINAL 1989 PAINT SHOWS EXTREMELY WELL FROM TOP TO BOTTOM WITH AN INCREDIBLE HIGH SHINE AND GLOSSY FINISH THAT STILL HAS THAT SMOOTH WET LOOK. IT IS EXTREMELY REFLECTIVE AND DEEP THAT CAN BE SEEN IN THE VIDEOS AND PICS. EVEN THE PAINT UNDER THE HOOD, ALONG FIRE WALL, DOOR JAMBS AND ON INNER TAILGATE JAMBS IS NICE AND SHINY LIKE YOU SEE ON THE OUTSIDE. THIS BRONCO IS IN 100% ALL ORIGINAL PAINT ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL PAINTED TOP BODY LINE PINSTRIPE AND THE ORIGINAL ONE PIECE TWO COLOR PINSTRIPE THAT SEPARATES THE TWO COLORS AT THE BOTTOM. THESE ARE THE TWO ITEMS THAT WILL ALWAYS TELL IF A TRUCK HAS HAD PAINT WORK OR BEEN REPAINTED AS MOST OF THE TIME THE TOP PAINTED PINSTRIPE WILL BE REPLACED WITH A DECAL STYLE ON A COMPLETE REPAINT AND ON COLLISION WORK IT WILL LOOK NEWER OR NOT MATCH AND THE LOWER ONE PIECE STRIPE HASN'T BEEN AVAILABLE BY FORD FOR DECADES AND THE ONLY WAY TO GET CLOSE TO REPLICATING THE TWO COLOR STRIPE IS TO HAVE TWO SEPARATE PINSTRIPE DECALS ON TOP OF EACH OTHER. THE ROOF RAIN GUTTERS ARE CLEAN WITH FACTORY SEAL AND GLOSSY PAINT ALONG WITH THE ENTIRE ROOF, BUT HAVE JUST A LITTLE SURFACE RUST ON THE DRIVER SIDE NEAR THE REAR TOP MEETING POINT. THE REAR TAILGATE OPENS AND CLOSES NICE AND SMOOTH WITH A REAR WINDOW THAT WORKS FROM BOTH SWITCHES, BOTH DOORS SHUT LIKE A VAULT WITH NO SAGGING DOOR HINGE ISSUES WITH NICE EVEN FACTORY BODY GAPS AROUND THE WHOLE TRUCK. REALLY THE ONLY COUPLE OF IMPERFECTIONS ARE SOME TYPICAL SMALL STONE CHIPS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A PEN TIP THAT YOU WILL SEE IF YOU GET REALLY CLOSE, BUT FAR LESS THAN YOU WOULD EXPECT AND ARE MAINLY LOCATED ON THE FRONT VALANCE, ON THE BOTTOM TAN AREAS AFTER THE TIRES, ALONG THE FRONT OF HOOD AND A COUPLE ON THE TOPSIDE OF HOOD. THERE IS A FEW SMALL AREAS ON THE LOWER PIN-STRIPING THAT IS SLIGHTLY CHIPPED ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND THE UPPER FACTORY ORIGINAL PAINTED PIN-STRIPING HAS A COUPLE SMALL AREAS ON THE DRIVER REAR QUARTER PANEL NEAR THE TAIL LIGHT THAT HAS CHIPPED OFF. BOTH DOORS HAVE A COUPLE ENTRY DOOR EDGE CHIPS AND SMALL HAIRLINE SURFACE SCRATCHES NEAR THE DOOR HANDLE AND KEY AREA. THERE IS TWO SMALL AREAS ON THE DRIVER FENDER NEAR THE VERY TOP AND NEAR THE TOP STRIPE THAT LOOK LIKE A SPOT OF OLD TREE SAP, THERE IS A SCRATCH ON THE DRIVER REAR QUARTER PANEL LOCATED BETWEEN THE DOOR GAP AND REAR WHEEL OPENING THAT IS ABOUT S2 1/2 INCHES LONG. THE TAILGATE HAS SOME DRYING AND AGE CRACKS IN THE OUTER RUBBER SEAL AGAINST THE GLASS, SOME TYPICAL SMALL LOADING CHIPS AND SCRATCHES AT THE TOP, SMALL DING TOP CENTER ALONG WITH IN AT CENTER AREA OF THE ALUMINUM TRIM PANEL AND TWO TINY BUBBLES RIGHT BEHIND THE LOWER PINSTRIPE IN THE BOTTOM CENTER OF TAILGATE. THE CENTER PAINTED AREA AND BLACK PAD AROUND THE BALL HITCH ON THE REAR BUMPER IS A LITTLE SCUFFED UP AND THE BLACK MOLDING ON THE DRIVER CORNER OF THE FRONT BUMPER HAS A SCUFF FROM A SMALL PARKING LOT INCIDENT. THE LAST AND WORST AREA OF WEAR IS BEFORE THE BRONCO WENT TO THE MECHANIC FOR ALL THE UPDATED MAINTENANCE IN 2015 THE OWNER PULLED THE BATTERY OUT AND GOT SOME BATTERY ACID ON THE PAINT AND THEY QUICKLY WASHED IT OFF, BUT IT MADE MARKS IN THE PAINT ON THE TOP OF THE PASSENGER FENDER DOWN TO THE EMBLEM, ON THE FRONT VALANCE NEAR THE GRILLE AND A COUPLE TINY SPOTS FROM THEIR FINGERS WHEN THEY WERE IN A PANIC AND TOUCHED THE PAINT OF THE DRIVER DOOR NEAR THE HANDLE. OVERALL THIS BRONCO HAS BEEN WELL CARED FOR AND VERY WELL PRESERVED WITH A GREAT EXTERIOR ORIGINAL SINGLE STAGE PAINT AND TRIM FINISH AND ALL OF THESE ARE VERY MINOR AND FAR LESS THAN EXPECTED ESPECIALLY ON A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE AND CAN BE SEEN IN THE WALK AROUND VIDEO + PICS AT THE VERY BOTTOM. FINDING ANOTHER LOW MILE, LOW OWNERSHIP ALL ORIGINAL BRIGHT RED EDDIE BAUER BRONCO AS NICE OR NICER THEN THIS WOULD BE PROBABLY A LONG AND TOUGH WAIT.
INTERIOR-THE INSIDE OF THIS BRONCO MATCHES THE OUTSIDE IN QUALITY AND CONDITION AND IS REALLY AS CLOSE TO A FACTORY FRESH AND PERFECT INTERIOR AS YOU COULD FIND! THIS BRONCO IS A SMOKE AND PET FREE TRUCK IT'S WHOLE LIFE AND FREE OF ANY LEAKS OR ODOR AND BESIDES THE UPDATED CD PLAYER AND 6X9 SPEAKERS IT IS ALL 1989 ORIGINAL. FRONT DOOR WING WINDOWS ARE TIGHT AND LOCK AS THEY SHOULD, THE DOORS SHUT LIKE NEW WITH NO SAG OR HINGE ISSUE AND INSIDE THE DOOR JAMBS AND HINGE AREA IS NICE GLOSSY PAINT WITH MINIMAL ENTRY WEAR. THE POWER WINDOWS WORK NICE AND FAST, THE POWER LOCK SWITCHES ALSO WORK, BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE KNOB SOMETIMES TAKES A COUPLE PUSHES TO LOCK OR UN LOCKS SO IT MAY BE TIME FOR A LITTLE WD40 TO KEEP THINGS 100% THE ASH TRAY AND LIGHTER HAVE NEVER BEEN USES, BUT WORK ALONG WITH THE ACCESSORY POWER OUTLET ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DASH. EASY TO OPERATE TILT STEERING WITH NO LOOSE COLUMN ISSUES AND THE STEERING WHEEL MOUNTED CRUISE CONTROL WORKS AS IT SHOULD. ALL LIGHTS WORK ALONG WITH THE CRYSTAL CLEAR GAUGES (MAKE NOTE A NEW OIL PRESSURE SENSOR HAS BEEN INSTALLED SINCE THE VIDEO AND GAUGE NOW READS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE WHERE IT SHOULD) THE REAR WINDOW ROLLS DOWN & UP FROM THE INSIDE SWITCH AND OUTER TAILGATE SWITCH, BUT ITS LIKE THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD, SLOW BUT DEPENDABLE. THE ONLY THINGS KEEPING THIS FROM A PERFECT 10 IS THE 3 LITTLE MENTIONED AREAS ABOVE IN THE REAR CARPET, STEERING WHEEL AND PASSENGER DOOR PANEL. OVERALL AN EXTREMELY NICE, ORIGINAL AND CLEAN INTERIOR THAT HAS SURVIVED THE YEARS VERY WELL.
