1951 Ford Other Pickups -- Description
WHAT IS IT? This is a 1951 Ford Pickup truck. Its done in the patina/rat rod style. Its more of a patina truck than a rat rod to my eye. Past owner spent a lot of money on this F1 truck. The body looks solid, the engine is a sweet running Chevrolet 350, the transmission a good shifting 4 speed manual, the front end is a aftermarket Mustang 2 style, rack and pinion steering, disc brakes in front, Mustang 8.8 rear end, new American Racing wheels, new Kumho tires, Dolphin gauges, GM steering column, working Kenwood radio. HOW IS THE TITLE? Its a clear 1951 Ford F1 title, it is a clean title, no flags and the VIN on it matches the plate on the truck. HOW MANY MILES ON THE TRUCK? Miles are exempt by law, but it reading 15,153 on the odometer. Past owner said that was miles since truck was built. HOW DOES IT DRIVE? To me it drives very good, it is rack and pinion steering. HOW DOES THE TRUCK STOP? To me it stops good, it has disc brakes front and drums rear with a dual master cylinder. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! RADIO WORKS! NO WIPERS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS! VOLT AND TEMP NOT WORKING! HEATER IS CONNECTED, I HAVE NOT TRIED IT! SEAT COVERS comes off and seat under it is nice. HOW IS THE EXHAUST SYSTEM? Good sounding Flow Master mufflers turned out in front of the rear wheels. HOW IS THE ENGINE? A good running 350 Chevrolet, 4 barrel Holley carburetor, full headers, Edlebrock air cleaner and valve covers. WHERE IS TRUCK LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303
