1979 Ford F-250 Description

1979 Ford F250 Ranger Lariat 4x4.
A bought this truck for a project and just have to many so something has to go. I would love to keep it cause you just don't run across these trucks every day. This truck looks to be all original and never had any marjor work or modifications made to it. With that said the truck is nearly 40 years old and has seen better days. The truck is rusty and if you plan on restoring it there will need to be rust repairs made to the bed sides, floors, cab corners, drip rails, and a few other places. The engine runs but it seems to have a lifter ticking. The oil pressure is not to bad so I think it is all in the top end. Understand over the years there seems to be somethings that have quit working like some of the intior lights, the tank switch, ac, not sure if cruse is working, brakes are not working well. The carburetor is going to need to be rebuilt. The truck has the high pinion axles everyone is looking for. The front axle is a Dana 44 and the rear is a Dana 60.
With all that said this pickup was loaded with options for that year.AC / not workingCurse control / not sure if workingTilt Steering WheelDual TanksPower SteeringSliding Rear windowTransmission Cooler / I think has tow packageDeluxe InteriorAutomatic transmissionEngine is a 2 barrel 400Still has a CB radio / not factory option
You have options with this truck. If you are looking for something to off road you could spend the $350-400 for a top end kit for the motor and new carb and go have some fun. Or if you are looking for a great truck to restore this would make a great candidate with all of the options that came on it.
The truck will run and drive with the 4x4 working but I wouldn't drive it with the brakes not working well. It need to be towed away.

Thanks for looking.
