The Falcon XF was introduced in 1984; the third version of the Australian-made Ford Falcon. Produced as a Sedan, Panel and "Ute" (Utility) pickup style, resembling an American Ford Ranchero on an F-Body Mustang. The XF was the most popular Ute built in Australia to that time.
As Ford sold no V8 engines in Australia from 1983 to 1991, this Ute is powered by an Australian-built Ford 4.1 litre OHV 6 cylinder Hemi engine, with an alloy cross-flow cylinder head from Honda. It develops 130 horsepower and mated to a Ford automatic transmission. It is equipped with power disc/drum brakes, power steering and freshly recharged, ICE COLD FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING.
This Right-Hand-Drive Ute was sold new in Melbourne, Australia and benefited from the dry, California-like climate. It belonged to a handyman, who took very good care of it. Most Utes were worked hard and clean survivors, such as this, are extremely rare. This car has excellent paint and body with NO RUST, and an excellent original interior. There is a storage area at the front of the bed - under the floor - and one at the rear under the bed for a spare tire. Both areas are clean and rust-free. See photos. Also includes a removable trailer hitch. New fitted black tonneau cover. Car has new BF Goodrich Radial TA tires wrapping factory Spec 6 sport wheels. Note that as correctly speced by the factory, the rear tires are larger than the fronts (P215/65R14 in rear and P195/75R14 in front.)
240,300 kilometers (149,300 miles). Always serviced and maintained. Runs, drives, shifts and stops nicely. No smoke, or unusual noises. Smooth and fast. A real pleasure to drive.
This is an excellent example of a model never seen in the U.S. In fact, we are told this is the only one in the U.S. today. This Ute was legally and properly imported into the U.S. and includes all customs documents and paperwork. It is currently titled and registered in the state of Oregon.
