1931 Ford AA 49999 Miles Green Pickup Truck 4 Cylinder Manual
1931 Ford Other -- Description
Henry Ford not only put America in motion with the mass produced model T and Model A cars he also put increased Americas productivity with his trucks. Much like the cars the Model trucks and utility vehicles served their purpose for America for a long time the Model A Trucks that succeeded the T's were more rugged easier to operate and more reliable. Perhaps no other vehicle had more utility applications than Fords model A. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1931 AA 1.5 ton truck. It ...has been fully restored and shows very well. The AA was purchased by the original owner for use on his farm in Manteca California and he owned it for 50 years. The owner used it to haul produce from his farm to the farmer's market in San Francisco. While in the hands of the second owner the truck starred in the movie "Under the Rainbow" with Chevy Chase. The third owner did a frame off restoration in California. The truck was made to look like a lumber hauler. The load of lumber on the bed is hollow and serves as a secret storage area. The truck was featured in the September/October issue by "This Old Truck." The truck features a 157" wheelbase and is powered by its 40 hp 4 cylinder engine that runs well. The AA features a 4 speed transmission. The truck features dual tires in the rear. The truck rides on like new Denman 6.00-20 tires. The truck is a very solid example as it spent almost all of its life in California. To see over 80 photos of this car including under carriage please visit our website
