Up for auction is my 1970 Ford Ranchero GT. This car is sporting 90% of its original paint with the exception of the door jambs. The paint and lazer stripe is very presentable but original to the car so there are definitely some age related issues but I didn’t have the heart to strip and repaint it as they are only original once so I left it original. It is very presentable and looks pretty darn good for being 47 years old! It was sold new at Community Ford in Doniphan, MO on February 28,1970. This Ranchero is 1 of 60 built with the 429 Super Cobra Jet engine and the Drag Pak option. This car is a true survivor in every sense of the word.
I have owned it for the last 17 years and hate to see it go, but a loss of storage and other family obligations dictate the sale of this awesome muscle car. The 429 SCJ and C-6 Transmission make a great combination. With the added Drag Pak this thing is scary fast “barking” the tires in all three gears! I have owned dozens of Ford muscle cars over the years and this one is without a doubt the best running cars hands down. With the exception of the factory temp gauge, everything works as it should. I will replace the sender later this week and hope to get that fixed. The hideaway headlights work great but after sitting a few days, they slowly open up. I assume it’s a leaky vacuum line, but have not verified that.
Included in the photos for this ad is the Marti Report and everything looks to be original and matches the report. At one point someone added chrome Magnum 500 Wheels, an MSD Ignition and some rear traction bars. I replaced the tonneau cover a while back and it looks very nice. As you can see from the pictures, the bed is in great shape. It has some very minor surface rust, but I thought it would be best to leave it “as is” for the new owner rather than cover it up with a spray in liner and make it look like I was hiding something.

On Sep-28-17 at 09:13:18 PDT, seller added the following information:I've had a few similar questions about the car, so I am going to answer some of them here.
I do not have the original distributor.
It is a matching numbers 429 SCJ.
It does have the original "N" Nodular differential.
There is no rust or damage to the floorpans.
The only documentation I have to provide is the Marti Report.
I have been asked about the "non original" paint areas of the car. It is all factory paint with the exception of the lower door jambs (where your feet would scratch it up.) The rockers and doors are all rock solid but have been touched up from road rash as well. All looks awesome. I just want to be up front with everyone.
