1930 Ford Model A Mail Truck
1930 Ford Model A Description
No reserve Auction - Up for sale is a very unique 1930 Ford Model A Mail truck. This truck started out life as a stock four door Deluxe Model A. In 1939 it was purchased by a mail carrier who used it for two years in the stock condition and then had it modified by a local machine shop to its current configuration. It is a very solid car, runs good, will need some brake work, but is otherwise very complete and solid.
The body is on a later model Ford truck chassis, has truck rims with extensions welded on to extend out to mount 9 x 24 four ply tractor tires. The rear springs are from a Chevrolet model 490. The truck was used on the mail route and is a very strong build. I have a very cool storyboard that has pictures, the signed 1939 bill of sale, and a signed letter from the mail carrier that details the work that was completed and other information. According to the letter the truck never was stuck out on the route!
I have the 1969 Minnesota registration card that matches the Minnesota Pioneer plates that are on the vehicle, and I will provide a bill of sale, I do not have a title. Please ask questions, look at the pics, as all sales are final. Will accept Paypal for the deposit, cash or check for the balance. All checks must completely clear the bank before the truck leaves the property.
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, I can help load.
This is truly a unique vehicle, with really cool information included, basically a time capsule on wheels.
