1978 Ford F-150 4x4 Shortbed

1978 Ford F-150 XLT Description

I am forced to sell my 1978 F-150 4X4 Short bed. Runs and drives great. I have used it as a daily driver and would take it anywhere. Out of 11 factories that built F-150’s in 1978, only one in San Jose built short beds. This hard to find truck has a 351M with a 400 crank, Cleveland heads, RV cam advanced 3 degrees, 2-barrel Holley 550, and approx 10,000 miles on a rebuild, NP-435 4-speed manual transmission, NP-205 transfer case, Ford 9-inch rear, and Dana44 front. Everything works as it should and could be a show truck with minimal effort. Fresh paint is Ford Performance blue, goes from deep blue to purple depending on the light. She needs a final polish after wet sanding. There is a small chip (as seen in pic) on the drivers side fender that needs touch up, I will supply the paint and clear to repair it. Bed and cab floor are lined with Raptor spray in liner. 35x10.50R15 that will need to be replaced soon. Over $13,000 invested. This truck appraised for $16,800 before the paint chip and worn tires.

Front bumper, radiator, all exterior lights, steering stabilizer, front and rear shocks, heater core, blower motor, windshield and seal, door seals, rear sliding window and seal, door panels, molded carpet, shifter boots, wiper switch, rear view mirror, sun visors, seat cover, 38 gallon fuel tank, sending unit, fuel feed and filler lines, Clarion radio with Rockford Fosgate speakers in the door and DVC center dash speaker. A lot of misc. small parts.
