1955 Ford Customline 2 door post
1955 Ford Other Description
My 1955 Ford Customline is up for sale. She has a 1999 351 roller motor out of a police Crown Vicky, 4spd AOD automatic transmission with Lokar shifter, front power disc brakes, aluminum radiator, electric fan, MSD ignition, 4bbl w/ aluminum manifold, 9" Ford rear end - narrowed with 3.23 gears, Flowmaster mufflers, full Moon wheel covers, Grant steering wheel. and a plastic Jesus on the dashboard. This was a radio delete car with an unmolested dash and a CD player in the glove box. Battery has been moved to the trunk.
The body is fairly straight, there is body filler in a repair on the driver's front fender that is visible when the light is right. The interior is original with a Mexican blanket on the front seat to hide the drivers side rip. The rear seat had the original clear vinyl cover until last year and is in excellent shape. The headliner is in good shape with no rips.
The rear end has been mounted on top of the springs and has a 2" spacer to lower it more. The front springs are new and have been cut to lower the front. New shocks all around.
The trim is in good shape, some pitting on the die-cast pieces, but looks ok from 5 feet.
Floorboards are good, frame has no rust.
