click above arrow for video of this 1953 Survivor Ford truck running and driving! (if doesnt play, try watching on home pc)
This 1953 Aniversary model Ford pick up truck came from central wisconsin where no salt was used on the roads and spent its life with a total of 2 owners. This 1953 ford F2 was being used as a driver by the farmer when i bought it and stored in the winter when he wasnt using it. I got the truck back here to iowa and went through the truck. We did a master cylinder, brakes, tune up, exhuast pipe etc. We decided to leave the body in its original paint (robin egg blue) in case the new owner would want to clear coat it or keep the patina. The box still has the wood uner the metal plate. The floors are real solid and notice the patina in the dash with the original clock and circular radio! really neat! this truck is still a 6volt system. the flat head 8 starts right up and runs great with no smoke knocks or misses. the clutch and trans are fine. What the truck should have done, is the cracks in the glass replaced, (easy fix) and front seat recovered as I have a seat cover over the original upholstry. the generator is weak and doesnt charge all that well. I only have 2 hubcaps for it as pictured, This is running off the original gas tank and seems to be fine. The lights work etc. The tires are servicable but are old. If you study the pics and video, you will appreicate how solid this truck is. I did not see any filler at all on it. This is a rare model with one of the most popular colors in 1953. This truck comes with a clean and clear title numbers matching ready for you to register.I do not want to overcall it or undercall it, let the video, pics, and description tell the story. I am setting the reserve well below the market value to ensure a sale. The plates and toppers and dash magnets do not go with the truck as they are part of my personal collection. As every body has their ow opinion on what a survivor truck should be, I recommend that you come by appointment to check out the truck or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you. I require a 500 non refundable deposit within 24 houyrs of auction end, If I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can help recommend shippers Ihave used in the past who have been very reasonable. if you have any questions at all call 563 568 5111 or 563 568 1182. thanks and have fun bidding on this original 1953 ford truck!
