This is a 1962 Ford T-bird true roadster, matching numbers with a 390/300 HP engine, 4 barrel automatic transmission. It is not an A/C car. It has 66,883 original miles and has not been tagged since 1970. It is a three owner car but only driven by the original purchaser. It was sold with the intentions of being restored and was disassembled. I purchased it with the same intentions, however circumstances have changed and I have decided I will not have the time to invest in this awesome project.
There were only 1427 2 door Sports Roadsters built in 1962. This car was built with the original color combination of Corinthian White (factory paint code M) over a red Leather interior (factory trim code 85). This is the year, model and color combination that many collectors prize.
The motor has been rebuilt and runs great and I have the receipts. The transmission and carburetor have also been rebuilt. The second owner repaired the areas of minimal rust. The car has all original sheet metal and has been taken down to bare steel and primed.
I have all the parts, tonneau cover, convertible top, Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, seats, dash, emblems, badging, trim, glass, bumpers, etc. …everything that was taken apart from the original dismantling is with the car.
The car is currently in dry storage in Bellingham, Washington.
The first 6 pictures are of the car prior to its disassembly so that you can see its original glory.
