1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7 Litre Convertible "Rare" Description

I am sellingmy 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7 Litre Convertible. There were only 1,893 of these made with the 7 litre convertible option. A very rare car!!! The car has been through a slow restoration process the last 4 years. The car has a 428 newly rebuilt with less then 200 miles on the motor. The C6 Transmission is brand new rebuilt. Car is automatic and comes with Factory AC, power windows, factory power driver seat, and power windows. Stock gears (355 Posi). Flowmaster exhaust with 3" and a Crossover. Drum brakes on back and disc brakes on front dual piston. Car was painted professionally and is in excellent shape. Repainted 3 years ago but has less then 200 miles on the road. Painted during the restoration process. Badging is 100% complete. Chrome is all there except the Rt. Front Fender. All chrome is in excellent shape free of dings. Half of the chrome has been re-dipped along with the rear bumper. New tires and the original hubcaps look brand new. Original Jack and stand located in the trunk. The trunk pan and half of the rear quarter panels have been replaced during the restoration process. The car is straight and rust free. Car has a new convertible top, and no cracks in the dash. Upholstery is new with no tears or rips. New Shocks, front suspension bushings, etc. etc,.

This car was a ground up restoration with just about everything replaced and/or new. The restoration took about 3 years from a professional restoration shop. Full disclosure, the radio does not work. That was one of the last things to check. The window switches need to be gone through and hooked up properly. The window motors all work great when power is hooked up but the switches need to be gone through. The carpet kit is brand new but the person who owned the car before me, cut the carpet to short around the edges and it shows. I would recommend buying another carpet kit for the car. Other then those minor details the car is solid and beautiful.
