F100 Restomodded Fuel Injected Tremec
1968 Ford F-100 Description
Up for bid is my 1968 Ford F100. The truck began with a completely rust free chassis. It’s been professionally blasted and painted. The front suspension was removed and replaced with a crown victoria front. The rack and pinion is a new remanufactured unit. It has brand new springs with the p71 spring rate and dropped 2”. A new borgson steering shaft and universal joints were used to connect to the CV rack.The rear end is the factory 9” housing with a new Trac lok carrier and 4.10 gears. It is a 31 spline unit with custom Dutchman 31 spline axles. The rear has 2014 mustang GT disc brakes with functional E-Brakes. It has new shocks and relocation brackets. It has been lowered approximately 5”. The truck has a new master cylinder and power brake booster with a wilwood proportioning valve.
The engine was removed from an extremely low mileage 2005 GT Mustang. It has a Ford Racing intake manifold with a Ford Racing cold air intake. It’s controlled by a 2006 Crown vic computer, same car the the suspension was removed from. The variable cam time timing has been locked out. It has new ford racing cam covers. The engine is cooled by a brand new aluminum radiator. It has a stainless steel x-pipe and flowmaster mufflersIt’s paired with a Tremec TR3550 with a steeda shifter and a brand new custom made aluminum driveshaft. The truck has set of 20x10 and 18x8 boss 338 wheels with nearly new tires.
The interior has a newly reupholstered seat, brand new carpet (not pictured). New shoulder belts with center lap belt were installed. The gauge panel was removed from a 70’s F600 and fitted with new speedhut electronic gauges. They are made the match the original SW gauges the F600 would have had. It has new door panels. The dash pad is original and in fair shape. The pedal assembly was fabricated from a mustang and f100. It’s outfitted with GT500 pedal covers. The shifter is a hurst with a custom brushed aluminum tremec knob and a polar shifter boot.The radio is a Sony MEX 100watt rms per channel.
Fuel tank was relocated under the bed using a fuel injected 67 mustang gas tank with a walboro pump and regulated by a fuel lab regulator. It has an aluminum aircraft filler in the bed.
The cab is 95% rust free. Very small issues here and there. The cab mounts are perfect and original as well as the cab supports. The underside of the cab is still red oxide primer. All the cab mounts are brand new. The inner fenders and rad support are rust free. I installed new side mirrors and a windshield for visibility.The bed is not original to the truck and is solid minus the floor. Tailgate is rough but I have others. Left this one because it has character.
I also have another rust free bed but is not for sale with the truck unless previously discussed.
Truck cruises great on the highway and surprises people, gets tons of attention! It can be driven or taken to the next level easily. Note: some of these pictures don’t match the description exactly, the truck has been a living project so things continuously changed.
