1973 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT Description

Most people like to LOOK at car and trucks on Ebay! Even if they aren't a buyer they compare builds, pricing and establish the market. THAT IS UNLESS - listed by dealers and resellers. Listing to SELL "to the best mark" isn't really fair to some that truly love and need. I'll even say deserve! There is a spouse that "wants to buy a present" for their loved ones BUT doesn't want to get involved with a dealer OR MAKE A MISTAKE! Read on and consider purchasing from me! AZ is beautiful in the winter AND a fly in drive home option would be met with assistance - just as I can arrange shipping for the busier person that can't travel !

73 F250/F350 Crew Cab High BoySuper Camper Special

This truck was a 1 of a kind 20 years ago when I performed a off frame restoration!

Originally a 73 F250 High Boy 4X4 it was run with many variation of the Ford FE and owned for 32 years. Extending the frameusing a org piece of frame out of a F350 toallowed for the install of a AZ USAF Base FULL 4 Door Crew Cab on the frame. Cab had around 4,600 ORG miles on it. "have pictures"BFG 35 inch AT tires, 35x12.50X16.5. American Racing wheels.

The Motor, trans, transfer cases, O/D, drive lines and differentials have less then 10,000 miles on them, as I have been updating them for years. You can't build, rebuild, improve without constant upgrade and attention to ware and safety parts! (This would be the place to insert some of the BAD WORK I've seen as an ASE Mechanic)

MOTOR: Ford "385 series" 460 30 over, Rv cam, DOVE 1970 429 heads, Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock 750 Carb, L&L Headers and frame motor mounts.

TRANSMISSION: Built C6 with S servo, 2,000 Hues Converter, B&M shift kit, NP203 gear box with the Northwest Fab Adapter and a NP205 Transfer case. Mated to a Gear Vendor overdrive unit. So it is a Doubled 4-1 Ratio set up.

FRONT AXLE: 1979 Dana 60, High Pinion, 35 spline ARB Air Locker, 4:10 Ford Factory Gears. Warren 35 spline Hubs. 1979 Power Steering Gear Box Conversion to frame, with HeimJoint and Cross over steering. All Spicer parts used for the build.

REAR AXLE: 1979 Dana 60, 30 spline ARB Air Locker, 4:10 Ford Factory Ford gears, Disc Brakes via Large GM Metric Calipers.

For drivers in HOT AZ....a truck that "can't handle the heat" doesn't freeway drive is WORTHLESS! Truck has Ice cold in dash A/C with Sandin rotary compressor and Electric fan on A/C condenser. All new A/C box, lines and condenser. Custom Super Cooler Radiator built with Trans and Power steering cooler with electric fan.

Interior is nice, new headliner, Carpet, and Org door panels. Front seat is a custom bench/ bucket seat, it is showing its age/ wear on the edges.

Truck runs and drives great! Nothing to hide. Have full picture album of restoration, conversion and up dates done over the last 20 years. Paint was done 20 years ago, using Base coat Clear coat in Super Black - today it has its share of road rash, dings, scratches. If truck doesn't find a new owner on Ebay - please consider viewing in Scottsdale in January. By then itwill look very different and be "mo money"!

On Nov-20-17 at 16:27:00 PST, seller added the following information:

Factory Rear High Output Heater under the seat! Also installed a Front High Output heater, “From Seattle”. Have owned for 22 years not 32. Typo above.
