1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Restomod Description

Powerful pony cars with bold looks are always in style. But with a fire-breathing V8, five-speed manual, and an upgraded sports suspension that's wrapped in the classic fastback style, this fully restored and upgraded 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a true heart-stopper.
If you want to attract attention, even at an all-Mustang gathering, a car like this incredible Mach 1 is the perfect tool for the job. The Crimson Red is borrowed from a much younger factory palette, which perfectly represents this car's whole more modern attitude. This coupe was taken down to bare metal during its rotisserie restoration less than 3,000 miles ago, and everything was expertly repaired before the new modern clearcoat paint was applied. So just by the luster and shine of this new shade, people can tell there is something special about this Mustang. And we know you love the custom flame-kissed pony graphic on the fastback's profile. The same goes for the large 18-inch Rushforth alloy wheels. But as much as this has plenty of custom pieces, it is a real-deal Mach 1, and so that means respecting its history. This coupe does it nicely with correct aggressive pieces like the hood scoop, locking pins, and special Mach 1 rocker panel moldings that are beautifully finished.
Open the door to a full custom experience. Just like the paint, the bucket seats are borrowed from a much younger Mustang, and so you get proper pedigree while getting modern bolstering for all-day comfort. And the way the red inserts in the leather coordinate with the exterior paint instantly tells everyone this was quite a thoughtful build. The Mach 1s were the premium Mustang, and that gets taken into the modern era with updated wood trim on the dash and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with powerful Rockford Fosgate subwoofer system. There's even ice-cold modern R134a air conditioning. But more than just comfortable, this pony car was upgraded to be a true performance machine. That's why you have the three-spoke sports steering wheel mounted on a Flaming River tilt column. Beyond that is a full set of AutoMeter Sport-Comp gauges, including a large speedo and tach. And that last one goes especially well with the Hurst shifter. And have you counted how many gears are on that yet?
The moment you pop the hood, the presentation tells you this is quite a powerful build. The darkness of the engine bay is broken up by bright elements like the air topper and ridges on the valve covers. Plus, the red elements on the wires and Optima battery really add aggression. More than just look impressive, this 351 cubic-inch V8 was built for combat. The block was rebuilt with .30 bored over pistons and a balanced rotating assembly. It features go-fast goodies like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, and MSD Ready-to-Run distributor. You have full control over the car thanks to an upgrade to a new Tremec five-speed manual transmission. When you look at the undercarriage photos, they reveal more of the solid all-around investment in this upgraded pony. The newer stainless dual exhaust, shocks, front bushings, leaf spring, and thick front sway bar are all part of the superior driving experience. Plus, the Baer four-wheel disc brakes and grip of modern Hankook Ventus V12 tires completes this upgraded total package.
This Mustang is vintage where you want it; custom in all the right places; and upgraded to be the baddest Mach 1 on the road. Plus, it comes with a ton of paperwork and a Marti report. It's a total package that's turn-key ready to win you awards and keep you searching for the long way home. Call today!!!
