This 1965 Mustang has been restored with Shelby appointments. It turns heads every where it goes and is a BLAST to drive! Car is pretty original for it's age all bolt on panels are original Ford so fit and finish is quite nice as you can see in pictures. It still has its original floor pans as well.Car was stripped to bare metal, underside was detailed to fairly original standards. The car has just had a professional paint job.
Engine is not numbers matching but is a correct 65 replacement. It was rebuilt and runs very strong. Doesn't blow any smoke and idles nicely. Has its original 65 4 barrel intake. Holley 600 CFM carbarator, Cobra dress up kit, Shelby tri Y headers, newer exhaust, new starter, new fuel pump, pertronics ignition, new accel 8mm wires, new plugs, flame thrower coil. Like I said runs very strong and smooth.
Transmission is a 4 speed toploader. Shifts smoothly with no slipping. Original shifter, new clutch and bearing. Rear end is connect 3.00:1 conventional, runs tight and quiet, and has new seals. Brakes are all new throughout front and rear. New hard lines and soft lines. Added new booster and dual master, used 68 spindles and prop valve. New zinc wash cross drilled rotors with new bearings.
New single piston calipers and pads, new KYB gas shock all the way around. New 1" Shelby lowering springs, good original rear springs, original manual steering in good condition.
Interior is all new, carpet, door panels, TMI seat covers, headliner, gauge bezel. All doors hardware and quarter glass hardware removed, cleaned and lubricated. Oil gauges work, lights, turn signals, horn, wipers, radio and e brake. Heater box completely rebuilt and detailed as well as under dash components. New bumpers and door handles, bumper gaurds, turn signal housings and all other original chrome is good, as well as trims. New gas cap, gas tank, and fuel line. Old school torque thrust wheels with custom Shelby caps. New BFG TA's. Paint is base coat clear coat and all stripes are painted on under clear as per Shelby specs. All emblems deleted.
