Hello, Thank You for looking at a seldom seen, Factory Original Ford Sunliner. This TIME CAPSUL was bought new in St. Louis Mo.,at Hull-Dobbs Ford by a gentleman that kept it for 60 years and it was in a garage every night, this was one from his collection of 4 cars that he treated as family! The only paint work done was the right lower quarter that was replaced in the 80s, done right and 2 rear floor pans, right where your feet rest, this is notorious for convertibles, braces and all other pans are great, no rust in trunk. Trunk still has original mat, bumper jack still has tags on it with the jack instructions behind spare tire.
The original interior is very nice, rear seat looks new, door panels are great, drivers arm rest shows some wear, drivers area front seat has seams splitting, should be easy fix. I installed new carpet, original rubber mat was bad and I replaced it with carpet, looks so much better! Dash is perfect, never cut or altered. Convertible Top was replaced in the 80s and still looks nice except for the rear window that has a small burn hole, looks like a light bulb laid on it! Zips Out. Tires are all nice, Chrome is nice, not pitted or bent, window frames and front door wing chrome is all very nice, not pitted! 60 years old but well taken care of. The very bottoms of the front fenders are starting to show rust, but keep in mind, this is only original once!! Everyone wants that original car, no hidden secrets here. The rockers, inner and outer are very nice with no rust. This car has the real patina, primer showing thru on front fenders, not a paint job that someone created, under the hood is original, not all fizzy can painted! Along with this car is all the original paper work, bill of sale for the price of $2225.00, sales brochures and owners manual. This is a car that will only go up in value, repair a few items and leave it the way it comes. The gentleman that owned it kept everything that came off, original water pump, fuel pump and master cylinder, they will come with it to make it a complete numbers car. Happy Bidding and you will be getting a great car, hate to sell it but just need an automatic, several knee surgeries doesn't help with the clutch.
