1979 Ford F-150 4x4 Description

This awesome pickup truck gets the job done. Big and brutal, this 1979 Ford F-150 4x4 is ready to work, play, or just take you just about anywhere you want to go, thanks to 4-wheel-drive and a big, honkin' 460 under the hood. Great looks don't hurt, either.
In the '70s, if you needed stuff hauled, no matter how big, this was how you did it. As a result, finding a truck that hasn't been bashed and worked to within an inch of its life is no easy task. Fortunately, this one seems to have led an easier life of leisure, perhaps scouting remote hunting grounds or trekking across fields to get to a private fishing spot. The silver paint is a few years old and shows a bit of wear, but by truck standards, it's almost too nice. There are no critical body issues save for the usual minor signs of use, and it appears to be wearing all its original sheetmetal, so it's not like this is some wreck that was rebuilt. No, it's just a really clean heavy-duty pickup that's ready for new adventures. The chrome is still shiny, the egg crate grille gives it a slightly upscale look, and with a spray-in bed liner and fresh diamond-plate rails, this truck is still ready, willing, and able to work for a living. Add in some nice chrome, including a matching diamond-plate rear bumper, and you get a truck that's at home just about anywhere.
It's bright and airy inside where a fresh gray cloth seat cover for the bench offers comfortable accommodations for three. Gray carpets are handsome and rubber floor mats are practical if you actually do anything outdoors, and there's a no-nonsense look to the dashboard. A factory steering wheel wrapped in black leather looks great, and while the original instruments are still intact, monitoring temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and charge. The automatic transmission has a column shifter while the lever on the floor manages the 4-wheel-drive system with the usual settings. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo system provides decent sound for cruising and with tinted windows and that light-colored upholstery, it's always comfortable inside.
This is a big truck, but fortunately, there's a big block 460 V8 to move it around. There's a mild cam inside that gives it just a bit of an attitude, while a Weiand intake manifold and Holley double-pumper 4-barrel carburetor make a little extra power. With a recent tune-up that includes an MSD coil and Ford Racing plug wires, it starts easily and runs well, and the rumble from the recent dual exhaust system sounding more like a vintage muscle car than a big pickup. The very tidy chassis is heavy-duty enough to go just about anywhere, and with manual locking hubs, you don't have to worry about fragile parts getting broken at the least opportune moment. A modest lift gives it a go-anywhere stance and those big 35x14.5-15 tires look awesome on polished Mickey Thompson wheels.
This truck is definitely up for whatever you're looking to do, and thanks to the heavy-duty hardware, you'll never have to worry about getting stuck. Call today!
