1964 Ford Galaxie Description

1964 Ford Galaxie Country Sedan.
Please read the entire description becuase I'm including a lot of extras.

Engine had been rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago. Runs flawlessly! The engine is a 289-2-barrel and uses no oil, doesn't smoke and starts great. It is set up for unleaded gas. I would not be afraid to take this car across country if need be. The 289 is mated to a 3 on-the-tree manual transmission. It shifts flawlessly and is a blast to drive. It has drum brakes and they also function as they should. The Wheels are 18" Torque Thrust Shelby edition. Everything works on the car except the clock. New belt line seals on the outside of the car including the tailgate. I was also able to source a NOS crank for the rear window. At that time we lubed all the window crank mechanisms as well. Era correct seat belts. This is a 6 passenger wagon. There has been some amateur body work done at some time to the hood as you can see in the pictures but I left it because I think it looks good. It could be painted and you wouldn't be able to tell. The doors, fenders, tailgate and floors have virtually no rust. I believe most of the car has original paint. The roof rack is custom made and can be removed. The metal is all powder coated with "chromabondit", which I was lead to believe is as close as you can get to chrome look in powder coat. The wood is quarter sawn oak and the hardware is all stainless. I also have a set of correct Ford NOS seat covers dated 1964 that are in new condition. I will be including these with the car but they will be in a box. I'm also including three vintage folding chairs that have been polished and redone to look new again, a vintage cooler, two picnic baskets, the original snap on cover that covers the rear area (you can see it folded up in the pictures), period correct license plates, original hub caps, and the Ford service manuals. Consider the pictures part of the description. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. There is no warranty, and it is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange shipping, but I can help get you in contact with a shipper. I can make myself available to help load the car. Overall this is a great car that we enjoyed just as it is. It would also be a great candidate to take to the next level. This car has been taken care of and could seriously be a daily driver. Everything works great except the clock. I want this car to go to someone who will enjoy it as much as we have!
