1932 Ford Roadster "32 Zephyr Hot Rod" Description

1932 Ford Roadster "32 Zephyr Hot Rod"

VIN: AAB5046477

This is an Original Henry Ford Steel '32 Ford Roadster, built to emulate the "what if" Edsel Ford had control of the company and wanted to build himself a Hot Rod. The initial Design and Rendering was done by Chip Foose (Rendering was done in silver/black and had fenders, and looked too elegant for the builders overall goal, and was scaled back to more of a hot rod look) GIS Automotive in PA commissioned the build from start to finish. Absolutely no expense was spared in this build, with the overall build cost exceeding $270k. Listed below is the build information, some of this Roadsters accomplishments, and background history on the entire build.

This 1932 Ford attended Pebble Beach with Ford Motor Company. It was personally invited by Edsel Ford and Henry Ford III. Pebble Beach Concours De'Elegance Lanyard / Ribbon included in the purchase.

Won 2011 & 2012 ISCA Car Shows, Won Goodguys Hot Rod of the Year 2011, Won 1012 Detroit Autorama.

Spent 1 Month in the Peterson Museum for the 80th Anniversary of the '32 Ford. (Only 1 of 10 1932 Fords picked to have the honor of being displayed)

Under both sides of the hood, and the glove box, it has been signed by many car people. Chip Foose (who also did the rendering under the hood), Henry Ford III, Dave Kindig, Barry Meguire, George Barris, Gene Winfield, and more.

Winter Time Painting shown in the photos was done by Ken Eberts, done behind the Ford Mansion in Dearborn, MI (You can still buy prints for $475, and the builder is willing to sell his original copy for $7,500)
