1940 Ford Tudor Sedan
1940 Ford Standard Description
For sale, is a real all steel 1940 Ford Standard Tudor Sedan.
This vehicle benefited from a body off, complete nut and bolt restoration back to original as-new factory condition. When we got it had been sitting a few years after the previous owner passed away, So we went through and replaced all the brake cylinders, brake master cylinder as well as with the fuel system replaced fuel filers and the fuel tank itself. And for style changes the car was lowered with a 4" drop front axl, and 3" drop spring in the rear, as well as new steel wheels with beauty rims and hubcaps and new black-wall tires. (the original front axle and rear spring go with car should the new owner want them)
Just recently the original 99A Flathead was replaced with a later model 1950 ford 8BA Flatheadwhich is bored .060 ove, the heads were surfaced .060 for higher compressio, all the valves lapped and valve lash se, as wellas dual 97's and a Power-master12V Alternator(generator style) so it now has considerable more power than the stock 99A. The electric system was converted over to 12V when we swapped the engines so all 12V lights and gauges, and now it starts instantly with 12V .
The interior is in very nice condition trimmed in the stock style of fabric for the doors/seats, the windows all wind up/dow, the gauges all work and the seats are comfortable.
The body is a real steel ford body with all steel body panel, no fiberglass . The chrome and stainless are all very bright and no cracking or chipping. The body is very straight as you can see in the photo, the paint shows well, it does as a few scratchand chips as one would expect from a car that is used and driven. The passenger side hood has a couple small blisters in the paint I've tried to show in the photos as best i can its hard to photograph them or see them unless up very close. Similarly both doors have some paint chipping right at the door edge; which could probably be fixed by simple touch up paint. Some small scratch's in a few spots on the car but nothing a buff and polish wouldn't fix.
Thank you for looking at this great car, should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me via email and ill try to answer anything you need. The buyer will be responsible for shipping but we will be glad to work with them to make arrangementsfor transport.
No-warrantyexpressed or implied the car is being sold AS-IS
