Selling 1961 English Ford Escort. All steel car originally built in 1986 as a driver. Built with the intention to look like the stock ride profile but with alot more depenability. a Buick 231 even fire V-6 same as the Grand National motor less the turbo. Kenne-Bell pulley system, Kenne-Bell headers, Offenhauser aluminum 360 manifold, Holley 4 bbl carb, Mallory HEI ignition, 455 Buick short water pump. Turbo 350 automatic correct BPO housing. V-8 Chevy Monza rearend with rebuilt center section. Mustang II IFS in the front. New aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, new battery, newer alternator, newer dual exhaust to the rear. Custom interior, chrome and oak rear fold down over rear seats, sliding side windows, Dolphin gauges in deluxe dash with stereo in glove box. All chrome new or replated in 1986 when built. All lens are new and correct. All electrical is updated to modern specs along with fuse box, electric wipers. 13 inch wheels with radials. Paint is lacquer and is starting to show its age by crazing and cracking but still presentable, just not perfect. Graphics were removed by matte gray finish last year to add a little more up to date look. Car is fun to drive and very comfortable. Ready for the summer. Driven several times to Back to the 50's in Minnesota (300 plus miles one way) along with many other shows. Selling to thin the herd so NO trades will be accepted or even considered.
