1976 Ford Ranchero squire Description
the good: well, it's a squire trim model which is very hard to find, this is the only one i have ever seen, the 351 fires right up and idles good, no smoke is evident, the dual exhaust sound good and healthy on it, trans shifts smooth, the car has a really nice full size ford ride, nice seats, nice dash, nice carpet, nice headliner. paint shines up nice, woodgrain panels look good. all lights, wipers, horn and heater blower work fine. only real issues i have found are that although it is a/c equipped, the a/c needs attention, the factory radio knob just spins around but does not turn on, minor bubbling starting in lower quarter, small rust spot starting in the inside of the bed on driver side, still very solid though and the lower part of the door panels is a bit worn, i would just replace them with new ones being they are available online for not a hell of a lot, i did notice some rust through on the driver side of the rear bumper, ok for a driver but if your making a show car out of it, then i would suggest a replacement. it's a dam nice driver quality ranchero in a rarely seen squire package trim that is more common on the station wagons of that time which were the "country squire" models..the car is in philadelphia pa 19111, if you are local then please come see the car "before" bidding and if not local, ask all your questions "before" bidding as this is a "no reserve" auction and any bid could be the winning bid and the winning bidder would be expected to make the deposit in 24 hours, not start asking questions about the car after the auction. these auctions are not free so please do not bid unless you are serious about buying the car. the process of blocking bidders is lengthy but i have gone through it before with jackwagons that decide they don't want the car, after they bid and win the auction. full payment in 7 days maximum and the car will not be released till the payment is clear, these days with scammers, a check can actually take 2 weeks to clear, cah is always accepted, the car has a clear Pa title which i am waiting for from the DMV and should be here shortly i expect. Have it shipped or feel free to drive it home, don't see why it would'nt make a trip but anything can happen. Guarantees only come with brand new cars ! not antiques. The winning bidders deposit will be refunded minus the $50 listing fee, so again. do not bid unless you are certain you have asked all of your questions first. you can email me your questions, stop by and look it over and take a test drive or message me and i'll send a phone number so you can call me.
On Feb-14-18 at 13:20:23 PST, seller added the following information:i received a question about the actual book value..i don't want to quote a value, feel free to go on the web to Nada..com, enter 1976, the ford, then ranchero, then squire. that will give you an idea of the value..it's actually much higher then i thought so i'm hoping bidding goes considerably higher then it is now but it is a no reserve auction and there are several bidders so it will sell to the highest bidder. any other questions, feel free to ask.
On Feb-14-18 at 17:08:35 PST, seller added the following information:2 more questions asked today so i'll post the responses here so i don't get the same questions. 1: can i drive it home to virginia ? don't see why not, the car runs and drives fine.. 2: is it a PA title ? yes, i applies for a new title in Pa in my name, so as soon as it arrive, it will be signed by me and notarized.
On Feb-14-18 at 17:13:06 PST, seller added the following information:oops ! forgot the response for another question. What is your bottom line price on the car ? well, it's a "no reserve" auction, so my bottom line price will be whatever the high bidder enters when the auction is over this coming weekend. but of course it will be over by then. i will not cancel the auction for a cash offer, if interested in buying the car, ask your questions now to satisfy any concerns you have first, and then join in the bidding with your bid.
