Long considered one of the first classic cars ever, Ford produced the small Thunderbird between 1955 and 1957. Known as the first two door luxury automobile it has that classic retro styling and 50s Lux interior amenities. Ford's answer to the Chevrolet Corvette yet it out in performance, luxury and sales. Of the three years the small bird was produced the 1957 model saw the upgrade to a 312 CID engine with 225 hp. Our bird has undergone a frame on restoration including an engine overhaul and has been impeccably maintained since. There has been a 12 volt conversion upgrade to an Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor automatic transmission with overdrive making it easy to cruise and past slower traffic. The car performs every bit like a contemporary car. A recent interior restoration including a new headliner, a new Dash, seat cover, windows overhauled with new seals for ease-of-use, new rear window and windshield seals.
