Stalled Project: 1952 Ford F1 Pick-Up (chassis F1R1CS11877). I've owned it for the last seven years, and purchased it from the 2nd owner in Pennsylvania (barn find) to restore to somewhat near original. With the frame-off restoration begun and now rolling, the engine was reunited after a total rebuild of the 239 CDI flathead V8 which I had bored 40 over. I made a few changes for giddy-up, safety, and reliability (e.g., Edelbrock heads and 2 deuce intake w/94's, custom cam, Mallory distributor, Red's headers, elec. sys. converted to 12 volt "so the engine would turn over with the 40 W oil.â€). I also switched out the front drums for disc brakes, and added a brake booster. With the new aluminum radiator, it will never overheat. A new clutch drives the 4 speed floor shift mount transmission.
This is an ALL STEEL truck with extensive work to the fenders and cab. The bed is new with oak floor and 8 coats of Epifanes Clear Gloss. New tires on original wheels painted red. Gauges have been rebuilt, and the grill chromed. The New harness is still in the bag as is the mounting hardware. The color is late Ford "White Suede" (code WS). Most '48 to '52 Ford F models are Red and I think the WS makes this truck. The majority of the hard work has been done, and some items still need to be addressed but as you finish the build it becomes all yours...
It's available in Maryland just outside Annapolis. Offered by owner.
