"First Generation Lightning"!!
1994 Ford F-150 Lightning Description
Title in hand and ready to sale my 1994 Ford Lightning. I originally purchased the truck for my Son who is now in the service. He drove it his last year of high school and 1st year of college before he decided he wanted a mustang instead. My younger son does not care to drive it..(He wants my vette)..so I have to let some projects go according to the boss (my wife).
The Good: Straight body, New Cervini's Ram Air Hood with lift shocks, New Tires -Nitto 420's all the way around, Wheels have been blasted and powder coated and new wheel center caps, New Plug wires, Rotor and cap, New Fog lights, replaced door panels with very good condition panels. New fan clutch, New Water pump, New Timing Chain and cover, New Smog delete, Power pulleys. The power steering pump was whining (famous for ford) so I did the Saginaw upgrade from a E-250 van - Perfect. The exhaust is factory headers into flowmasters dumped in front of the back axle, no cats. New shocks, New Rotors, calibers, and brake pads. Motor runs strong and trans shifts great. The Bad: The truck has 309564 miles but doesn't drive like the mileage is that high. I think that the motor may have been rebuilt but I don't know for sure. There are dings here and there and the driver side fender has rust on the bottom, Someone had something heavy in the back of the truck and it looks like it slid forward and dented the bed, the passenger side cab bottom has rust (Please see all the pictures) in addition the radiator support is going to need to be replaced eventually as it has quite a bit of rust. I was going to pick these parts up from my local pull - a- parts and install before painting the truck but I've decided to sell. The headliner inside is missing. It started hanging and we pulled it out. My son put in a nice radio and speakers but I have removed the antenna as I was going to delete it when I painted the truck and install an interior antenna. All the gauges work however the front tank does not. It hasn't since I've owned the truck. We just never got around to fixing it. The passenger door lock does not work. I think something has come loose as when I changed the door panels I could see something was disconnected. The A/C is there and comes on but does not work. I personally think it just needs a compressor. The center "seat" is fine but the top of it will need some work to bring it back. I was hoping to find a top piece on ebay or pull a parts but haven't found one yet.
Xtra's: I have replaced the back glass with a one piece but I have the original sliding back glass included, I also have the optional center console if you didn't want to use the center seat, I also have a pristine dash with no cracks in excellent shape I was going to install when I re-did the interior, I had the original bed liner out as the bed was in such good condition..the new owner can decide if they want to keep it or not.
Overall it's a great truck that cranks every time and has never left me stranded. I could get in it and drive anywhere without worry. People love it and I'm always getting compliments on it. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
