1932 Ford Other High-Boy roadster Description

As Featured in "Hot Rod" magazine:This hand built ‘32 Ford Roadster was the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau “Flagship Promotional Vehicle” built to showcase Detroit’s automotive heritage. Designed by Chris Baum, the D-Rod, was built by Rick Dyer at Detroit Muscle with input from Ford, Chrysler and General Motors. Chrysler had Arrow Racing Engines release one of the first hand built developmental 525 HP Hemi crate engines for the D-Rod build. The transmission is a 4-speed overdrive Chrysler 518 automatic. Dearborn Duce provided an all-steel ’32 body with a disappearing top. The frame is a Lobeck’s Deuce frame, with a 9-inch Ford rear end, a Magnum 4-inch dropped tube axle, bobbed rear rails and four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. The interior includes an ididit steering column and steering wheel, Moon Equipment supplied the gauges and the upholstery is a Pendleton Del Rio Wool Indian blanket with python skin and camel wool highlights.
