Classic 1968 Ford F100 in storage for 30 years.
1968 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Description
1968 Ford F100 Custom Cab Pickup. 2018 celebrates this classic vehicle’s Golden (50th) Anniversary. My father purchased this truck in 1970 from a local businessman and it has been in the family ever since. This truck has been stored in the basement of a commercial building in Crawfordsville, Indiana for 30 years. For the last four years, it has been stored in my barn. I have had dreams of restoring it to its original classic beauty, but now it is time to let someone with the know how achieve this vision for themselves.
This pickup has been in storage and not run since 2002. In 1996, we had a replacement engine installed, a Ford 302 cubic inch with a C4 transmission. There are a couple of small rust spots and several areas of very minor surface rust starting. The photos show the truck as is, dirt and all. Search the internet and you will see example after example of this truck priced $10,000 to $20,000 once restored. This classic is being sold as is. It needs new tires. I do not want to try to start the engine without it being inspected by a mechanic first. As I said, it was in fine running condition the last time it ran in 2002. New owner will need a car carrier to transport this F100 to its new home.
